Actalent is Hiring a CAD Designer Near Lancaster, PA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented CAD Designer to join our team. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Your designs will be used to guide the production and assembly of various products. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of 2D animation, technical writing, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

- Create detailed technical drawings and models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Inventor
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop design concepts
- Review and modify existing designs to improve functionality or reduce costs
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations
- Conduct thorough research to gather necessary information for design projects
- Prepare accurate bills of materials (BOM) for production purposes
- Assist in the assembly and testing of prototypes
- Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during the production process

Experience:

- Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Inventor
- Strong knowledge of 2D animation principles and techniques
- Familiarity with technical writing and documentation practices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
